Scientists have discovered that octopuses can:

With over 500 million neurons (mostly in their arms!), octopuses can independently control each limb, making them one of the most unique creatures in the animal kingdom. Some researchers even believe they display signs of curiosity, playfulness, and problem-solving comparable to primates!

Octopuses are famous for their escapes—breaking out of aquariums, sneaking into neighboring tanks to steal food, and even walking on land for a quick getaway! One of the most famous examples is Inky the Octopus, who slipped out of his enclosure in a New Zealand aquarium and made his way back to the ocean through a drain pipe.

Their intelligence raises big ethical questions:
